I have not run since June 11th but had to do the Freedom Festival because I signed the kids and me up waaaay back in April.  16th out of 101 ladies in my division isn't that  bad-- seeing how I was expecting to BOMB it. My daughter has been doing some pretty serious work outs with XC so I was hoping she'd shine.  Instead she spent the first mile goofing off with her friends until I found her at mile marker 1 and pushed her forward and said "You can not let a flabby 43 year old Mommy beat you ....GO!"  So she cleaned her self up and made two nice splits to the end.  We did all have fun  (even my son who hasn't run a step himself since his school's 5K in May).  Happy 4th!  I ended up running 5 more miles get to the parade and then back home (better than traffic). My girl ran with me one of those extra miles, but let her Dad take her in the car the rest of the way home.

Hi Girls. Thank you. I hope you all had a nice 4th too! I'm letting my kids take the running torch for a while (particularly my girl) while I get the anemia & hernia fixed; and my ruined hamstrings stretched out at Dr. Brady's. Since she started running this summer, soccer is becoming a fading pasttime (after standing for countless hours at soccer games in pouring rain or blaring sun at various corners of he state for 8 years.....thanks for changing venues there sweetie pie). I think my running is definitely taking a less serious place until my kids are done with all their HS sports. I think I'll cut it down to one Marathon a year until I'm *free* again. I don't know how anyone can do it with more than 2 kids in sports! See you all at RHPC I hope??

Hey smooth. I would love to... I could try and go out with you a few miles. But I'm cutting down the mileage while I see Dr. Brady and try to get all my stuff worked on. He injected a variety of sites on my legs which are now very sore and said he preferred that I bike or anything else, but keep it low miles. So, I may show up to say hi....but I wouldn't wait long
