Running Accomplishments:

I started running when I was 13 with my Dad in San Diego.  I ran cross country in high school, and continue to run in my 40's.  I've run lots and lots of races.  My favorites are the Coronado Half Marathon,  Freedom Festival 10K, Moab Half Marathon, St. George Marathon, and the Ogden Half Marathon/Marathon.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to qualify for The Boston Marathon and then run The Boston Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to run a 5K under 23:00 and a 10K under 50:00 in 2009-- in addtion to running the Ogden Marathon in the Spring and the St. George in the fall for as long as I can do it.

Personal:

I am married with children. I love to be outside and running gives me a good excuse to be outside. I love to run everywhere I go (last summer ran and swam on two coasts on the same day just for bragging rights). I am not a talented runner, but I have done it for a long time, and love to do it.  I hope in the year 2054, that I'll be the 86 year old lady running the marathon.

Ok, the treadmill experience may only be as good as the movies I watch.  So I'm currently taking viewing suggestions.  I'm going more miles in less time though, because according to the treadmill, I can run pretty fast.  And while watching a movie, I can do that for like, forever. And, it sure beats trying to race the sun and the clock on School days.  I have to say though, that as an added bonus, the treadmill leaves my legs feeling worked, but fresh! To further aid in the healing of my leg, I made an appointment with Josse to perfom scraping.  Sasha said it helped heal his calf after Deseret News and so many others have raved about the healing powers of scraping.  But let's not kid around here, it hurts.  Also, after it's done, it feels great.  Thank you Josse!  Although I had to say it to her more like: Thank you?  to which she replied You're welcome?  Josse is amazing. If I even get close to BQT, we can chalk up another victory for scraping.

I am all about scraping. I swear by it and end up scrapping about 2-3 times a week.

I can not believe that not only do you guys push your physical limits with the running, you reward your efforts with scraping.... What kind of masochisticsts are we? :) But I hope to be able to claim the same success with the scraping. Thanks for the encouragement!

I thought that was why we like running? Our masochistic nature ;) I am glad you survived the DREADmill. It is very good for your joints and legs. Way to heal thy self, with help from the AMAZING Josse!

Nice miles!
