Last night a small group of neighborhood boys were suddenly skateboarding and 'hanging out' in front of my house around 8:00 p.m. (imagine that, my house, of all places!) .  Those were smart boys though. I had the cutest girls within a 5 mile radius under one roof.  Needless to say, I was awake the entire night listening to endless rounds of "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedignfiled, and watching Napoleon Dynamite, and trying to decide if I should put a limit on how many salt and vinegar chips should be eaten by any one girl.  Then up at 5:30 a.m. after ZERO sleep for a run in the canyon with the RHPC!  It was a mighty pink group, including a few of brave, brave men who also ran.  I drove a group to the start and ran back to my car, so I only ran 10 of the 13 (9:25/8:56/9:10/9:32/9:08/8:32/8:31/8:42/8:58/9:00).  I wasn't sure it would be a good idea to do 13 since I have not run more than 7 miles in almost a month. I did have a 40+ week though, so that's good I guess.  I'll work my way back the long runs in the next 2 weeks. I just am trying not to push it so I'll have some gas in the tank for Hobble Creek and St. George.   Anyway, it was absolutely awesome to see friends!  I ran 3 miles with Rachael, but was totally holding her back.  It was nice to be up the canyon, the weather was perfect until the end when it rained on our parade.  I got the pickled chicken feet prize from Smooth and am looking forward 'trying' them.  I wonder though what Rachael is gonna do with those pink fish-net gloves.....hmm.  So great to see everybody and finally meet some new faces.  I was home in time to serve waffles with whipped cream and strawberries and mitigate one last round of pictionary.  I'm beat.  Thanks Marion for all the "grown-up" fun this morning!!!

I was so happy to FINALLY meet you! It was funny that you were asking where I was when I was standing right next to you, wondering who you were! Funny!

Great job on the run and the waffle afterward, and all on no sleep. Kids are so fun!

Good luck with getting the miles back up there, you are doing great!

I should've tricked you into running a few more with me :) Then I wouldn't have had to push to catch Michelle and Kelli! Oh, you were so NOT holding me back, I didn't want to go all out speedy today...just a comfortable pace and I was loving where we were at! I just got lonely when you left :(

I'm glad you got home in time to finish up your 'marathon' of a party. Now go take a nap crazy runner chick! :) Oh...and I will be wearing my gloves out to dinner tonight thank you! :)

Thanks as well for the CD!!! I'll have to x-fer it to my not-pod so I can have a fun RHPC run again!

RAD, dont' for get the tutu, socks, and and Elton John Pink sunglasses. You could throw in a bustier to round out the look :) I bet they'd give you dinner free if you showed up that way!

Now you have me wanting waffles with strawberries and whip cream.

Great seeing you again today. Maybe we can run one evening or weekend. I'll check my schedule for next month.

Oh, yeah!!!! Thanks for the CD. We listened to it on the way home (but the MAN driver kept flipping through the songs until he found one he liked!)

It was fun meeting you today. I took me a long time to catch up to you. You did great. Especially on such little sleep. Thanks for the CD. I can't wait to listen to it.

Luzy, it was so good to see you this morning. You looked so good that no one would have guessed you were surviving the "other girls non-slumber party." You're a GREAT MOM!!! I'm so jealous I didn't get one of your CDs. You have got to try the chicken feet and tell me how you like it. I am really curious what it tastes like. GOOD JOB on your 10 miler. I am so glad you came and ran. We have got to get together after you get back from your trip. Get some sleep now, I'm gonna make me waffles with strawberries and whip cream for breakfast. :)

Luz! I just love you to death! I am SO glad that you tore yourself away from the little chicks and came to join us :) I hope you have seen the pic's Harold took. There is one where you appear to be looking longingly at the beloved rooster. ;) I am glad you had a nice run and IT WAS SO GREAT TO SEE YOU!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxo
