I ran my first marathon as a teenager in 1981 with my Dad (The Coronado Marathon). Since then I've run St, George (3x) Utah Valley (3x) Ogden (1 full, 2 halves) Park City (1 x) Boston Marathon (1x) Washington DC (1x) Moab Half Marathon (6x) ,Ye Old Freedom Festival 5 & 10K (a million x) and many others.

But I'm all done with that now.  I'm officially a jogger.

A word about running bras.  I wear a 32D for anyone out there like me always searching and searching for the right bra.  I want to recommend Title Nine's 'Frog Bra' and also Moving Comfort's 'Melbourne'.   Both are a total compression bra's that works for the larger busted among us.  The Moving Comfort/Melbourne is more comfortable but not as compressing.  I've used both for years, but ocassionally end up buying cheaper version sports bra's I'm never happy with. I'll never forget going to the running store a few years ago and asking the girl behind the counter (who was like 4% bodyfat and had the wiry athletic/anorexic figure you'd expect from a serious runner) who stared at me blankly when I asked her questions.  And then the manager of the store, a man, tried to come to her rescue but turned bright red and turned his face away when I asked if they sold anything athletic with "underwire".  Thanks guys!   Way to make a girl feel special about her over-sized knockers. Both of the bra's I've recommended here are pricey.  But there are less-good bra's at Sport's Authority-- my favorite being Champion Action Tech racer back.  It's not bad, but a little more bouncy than the Frog or Melbourne.  Just thought I'd share in case anyone reading this hates their...'you-know-what's'....as much as I do.  Every once and I while I see a girl bouncing mercilessly down the river path and I just wish I had a few extras to give away.

I've got a friend who will REALLY appreciate this!! I used to just wear 2 or 3, but when I lost my weight I lost my pain in the butt 'you-know-what's' so I can get away with cheaper one now. So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the info!!

YEAH!!!! Rachel's friend is here to be blessed with this knowledge!!! I spend a fortune on sports bras from Champion.com. I like them fine (I buy ones they do not sell in the stores), but just feel like there has to be something better out there!!! So, do you get the same size as you would a regular bra or smaller?

Kelli-- I always go a smaller size--Medium would be the right "cup/width" size, but tigher is better and with the Frog Bra there's plenty of material to cover where other bras make you spill over the top. They are harder to pull on and off, but once they are on it is worth the effort. That one Champion I mentioned isn't bad, it's a $31 bra. But the Frog rules.

The Frog Bra is your bra. Trust me. It's got the right amount everywhere without being hot as some of the padded kind. No back, armpit, overthe top spillage. There is a seam that runs along the top of your ribs that leaves it a little red after long, long runs. but that for me is worth the price of 100% non-momvement.

I have spared no expense over the years finding the right way to gird up my busom. I hope the suggestion works for you. I've even tried other bra's in Title Nine, none as good as the Frog.

I would get a Medium. The frog bra already compensates for that extra smallness factor. I have both medium and large, and both sizes work. But I would start with a medium for immediate relief! I like the medium better for me, and overall I think it's a safe size to start with.

Maurine, I just read this whole article about "Moobs" aka 'man-boobs' and man-bra's. All I could think was: Well, at least I have a good excuse for having some, and also, I probably won't go bald just for getting older. So there's that. There is some consolation in the reality that men didn't get 100% streamlining and that aging, even for men is not so graceful sometimes.

You ladies are young enough that you might not have experienced the full gravity effect - but this reminds me of one of my favorite jokes:

An elderly woman was brought into the ER with a shotgun injury to her left knee. She is despondent and crying and the doctor finally asks what is wrong.

She has been trying to commit suicide and had called her doctor to ask where her heart was located. He informed her it was under her left breast.

That was where she aimed.....

I have been looking for a good bra since I added a little something to the chest. I have to double up to get a kind of comfort and almost alway chafe. I will give these a try, thanks.
