Ran at luchtime today.  The world is getting to be that bland color of beige even as the leaves are bright yellow and red.  It won't be long until I'm quoting my favorite Shakespearan sonnet. It was nice to run down the jetti this afternoon.  It was quiet and just what I needed to calm myself down.  I got good rest yesterday, but I still feel a bit frazzled.  Nothin to do but keep on, keepin' on.

Good on you for keepin' on! Can't wait to see you at the birthday bash!

I'm so curious to find out how the Hoover Dam Marathon works out for you. I was just thinking about you running year. You have worked really hard this whole year and never slowed down. Did you hear about the Halloween Half? If anyone else is going, I'd totally go. It sounds so fun (all downhill from above Sundance down to the Riverwoods).

Yes, I did hear about that Halloween Half. I'd love to do that one if I didn't already sign up for Hoover. I don't know why I have it in my head that I need to run 6 marathons in 6 months. I really like the Half distance. It's challenging enough without killing you.

Will Catherine run that with you? I think one lady in my ward is considering running that one.

Caht and I just planned a regular old run, but I've been thinking about the half. It's all down hill and if other's are going, we would change our plans. I have an old wedding dress (last used as the bride of frankenstein) and will be using it over the weekend for halloween. I'm cutting off the front above the knees, adding a race number and veil and pinning "run-away-bride" to my train. I might as well get some final mileage out of the dress, and would try to run it if anyone was going to the party.

Sounds like a fun/hilarious costume. Yes, definitely get more "mileage" out of it. You'd have a spooktacular time being Frankenstein's run away bride. Please post the pics.!!!

Isn't Josse running it? It will be a blast!

What a fun run :) Hey someone told me about their running groups old tradition. they would run a __K on Thanksgiving. The # of k's was determined by the date of Thanksgiving. So if Thanksgiving was the 26th, it would be a 26k. They brought pie & hot chocolate for the aid stations. I think it sounds like a GREAT tradition to start for the RHPC's. What do you think?? We could start really early and then feel REALLY good about the HUGE pig out for the rest of the day :) (It would always be close to about 16 miles.)

nice run lady, I'm glad you're getting YOUR time in! I know lots of people heading down to the halloween run. I myself will be down in the area that day. I don't think I'll do the half, but should finish my 20 around the same time you'd finish the 1/2 (I think)...so it would be fun!!! Oh, and I LOVE the dress idea.

Marion, I would be in for the t-day run! Sounds fun!!!

I love the idea of running on Thankgiving. I've even run a few turkey trots in my day, but I'm usually out of the state or frantically cooking to get stuff done to be at aunt's house in Farmington by 1:00. Besides which, I'd really have to do an ultramarathon to counterbalance Thanksgiving. I know we all love thanksgiving--but it is indeed my favorite holiday (many of the same feelings at Christmas, minus the gifts). I just think running on Halloween in character would be funny.
